Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the purpose of applying sun protection film on buildings?
There are multiple purposes. Two popular reasons are additional privacy (via mirror film) and significant savings in cooling costs during warm weather. Material manufacturers can supply more information about properties of specific sun protection films.
How do I prepare a car for Fullwrap?
The vehicle should be properly cleaned from dirt, grease and asphalt stains. It must also be dry and warm with the vehicle chassis temperature at the time of wrapping above 15 C.
What colors can I choose from for wrapping?
Different manufacturers offer a wide range of colors that you can choose from. Special colors are often ordered for commercial fleet wraps — which means you can literally have any color you like.
How long does it take to wrap a vehicle?
One-half day for a simple passenger car, or up to two days for a large lorry. Much depends on the make and model of your vehicle, as well as the type of vinyl and logos you’ve selected. Get in touch with us concerning specifics.
We have a fleet of several hundred vehicles scattered across ten different locations around the country. Can you service all locations?
Yes, and we’ve done it before. We agree on a timetable, and determine whether all locations need to be serviced simultaneously or one by one.
Why should we wrap our fleet instead of painting our vehicles?
Three reasons. (1) Wrapping is considerably cheaper – roughly half the cost of painting. (2) It’s faster, too: one day for wrapping (on average) versus four days required for painting and buffing. (3) Wrapping boosts your vehicle’s re-sale value, because when it’s removed the vehicle looks brand new.
Is vehicle vinyl as durable as paint?
Yes, for most uses. The most commonly used vehicle vinyls are 100 microns thick. This is enough to protect the paint from minor scratches and withstand automated washing. Rocks may still chip the vinyl, however.
How long will a colored/printed vinyl last on a vehicle?
Most vinyls are warranted for 3-5 years. If they are properly maintained, you may expect it to last several additional years.
